Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM)

The Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine is New Jersey's first acupuncture school. Founded in 1997, the College is institutionally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for freestanding institutions and colleges of acupuncture or Herbal Medicine that offer such programs.

Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine and its following programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM):
(1) Master of Acupuncture
(2) Certificate in Chinese herbal medicine

The programs listed above may offer courses via distance education.

ACAHM does not accredit any programs at the undergraduate/bachelor level.

Licensure and Certification Upon Graduation

National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine
Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine programs also meets the licensure requirements of most states that license practitioners of acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Licensure requirements vary from state to state, and prospective students are advised to contact the appropriate agency in the state in which they intend to practice for information on specific licensure requirements.

Graduates of the ESATM program are eligible to sit for the examination and become certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. For more information, contact:
