Acupuncture and traditional Eastern healing methods have provided a safe and effective way of addressing pain, injury, and illness for thousands of years. Practitioners of Western medicine began embracing acupuncture as it has directly demonstrated its value to their patients. We have trained numerous MDs, Physical Therapists, and various body workers in acupuncture, noting their desire to better serve the needs of their patients.
A vital part of the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine’s mission is to serve the community, and we accomplish this within our Intern Clinic. Fees are affordable, and the patients receive superior care. Under the guidance of the College’s Licensed Clinical Supervisors, interns treat a wide variety of ailments. A large portion of our patient population trusts the care our interns provide, has been with us for decades, and will return when they need relief.
The clinic also provides third-year students with invaluable learning opportunities, including working on-site in veterans’ hospitals and physical therapy centers through our extern program.
Interns are also given a number of opportunities to work outside the clinic in different settings and with specific populations. We encourage interns to take part in Health Fairs and Specialty “Pop-Up” clinics offered throughout the semester.
